They just seem to drop away after a while. Have you run into this issue with 4K FireTV Sticks and adblink? I know it sounds like "a network problem", but I'm fairly LAN-savvy and it's not a question of them not being available on the network permanently. I've got them set to static DHCP IP addresses on my LAN I already tried reducing the lease time to 6 hours to see if reassigning the IP periodically would "kickstart" them so they don't lose ping, but that doesn't seem to have worked. It seems that the Sticks "drop off the network" within a short period of time-not sure what that period is, but no longer than a couple of hours. If I reboot the Sticks, they are pingable, they can be seen on the network, and adbLink connects to them no problem-but only for a while. adbLink simply isn't seeing them on the network. " I've done some troubleshooting and it seems that this is being caused by the simple fact that the 4K Sticks sometimes do not respond to ICMP pings-i.e. I'm able to connect to them sometimes, but often I'll get a message "Cannot connect to. I'm having some weird connection issues to the two FireTV sticks periodically (not always, but usually) using adbLink 3.8. I just wanted to see if you have any suggestions. However, I've ditched those in favour of two of the new 4K Fire TV Sticks, and I'm running into a strange connection issue while using adblink 3.8 on my 2011 Macbook Pro running High Sierra. I've run adblink 3.8 with no problems to connect to my FireTV 2nd gen for a long time (and other FireTV devices and adblink versions before that).
